My goal for this blog is to give whatever help and encouragement I can to youth who strive to be like Jesus in a culture that strives to make you like the world. I'm not saying I have it all figured out, far from it. God is using my writing here to teach me things too. But I do think I have a few things worth sharing.
Christian. Student. Optimist. Looking to make a difference right where I am and help others do the same.
My best friend Hillary and I came together to do this blog and we both agreed that it would be a place where we could be real and encourage young women as they grow in their relationship with God. Our prayer is that "The Quiet Place" would be that place where God meets you right where you are at no matter what you are going through. My favorite verse Joshua 1:9 says it best--"Have I not commanded you, be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go"--Joshua 1:9 (NIV) So with that said, I hope that you will join us in this place of rest and encouragement for your soul.
I'm not your average teenage girl.I'm homeschooled, second oldest of 8 kids and I've got a passion for God. Star Wars is my love and The Avengers is awesome! I can find God in anything, I love inspiring people. I want to set the world on fire for God. I'm a geek, funny, silly but that's who I am:)
Hi I’m Becky a student from Manchester, England. A Christian and a young adult living in the everyday world it can be confusing and frustrating but it can be a whole lot of fun with likeminded friends so that’s where you all come in. The book of spelling is all about spelling out life God’s way, the blog is named after a spelling book I had when I was younger, my mum bought me the book, I named it and she taught me to spell (to make a long story short she is the reason why I love writing). Just as when you are younger to be able to handle and learn words we had to take them one letter at a time so this will be my approach to life, one day, one lesson at a time but my mum can’t help me through my whole life (and neither can yours) so that’s where God comes in.
I'm a simple girl of nineteen. Maybe a little crazy at times and maybe a little lazy too (sometimes). Haha. I'm all for Jesus and He is my first Love. To me, life without Him is no life at all. I'm no fancy uptown girl. I'm no gold seeker or dreamer of the "high life". To be honest I'm quite the opposite. Simple... simplicity. I was born in this beautiful Big Sky country and travelled across North America a time or so. I've seen some of the most desolate places and met some of the most kindest of people. Sure I'm young but I guess you can say I've already been through a lot in life; the good, the bad and the ugly. The road in life can be tough, difficult and even seem hopeless at times. But I know that with Christ I will get through any valley and past any darkness.
"But my life is worth nothing to me unless I use it for finishing the work assigned me by the Lord Jesus—the work of telling others the Good News about the wonderful grace of God." -Acts 20:24
I am in Year 12( HSC), live in the Blue Moutains (AUS),loving reading, have dreadlocks, into herbal and hippy things and Daugher of Yahweh my saviour...
Twenty-something, female, Iowan, Peace Corps Volunteer, teacher, gardener, Central College graduate, younger sister, daughter, single, curious, lover of languages, wanderer, book lover, and Christian. The last one is the most important, and the reason for the existence of this blog. I was compelled by the Lord to begin blogging about my journey in faith, and here I begin. Where it leads, only the Lord knows.
I am a Christian. I love Christian music. My favorite Christian band is Casting Crowns and my favorite song by them is "Every Man". I also love other genres of music. I play five instruments and love to sing and dance. I am a big fan of the Jonas Brothers and Justin Bieber. My favorite song by the Jonas Brothers is "Little Bit Longer". My favorite Justin Bieber song is "As Long As You Love Me." I love school. I am a straight 'A' student and my favorite subject is math.
My blog is more or less a journal of what God is doing in my heart. Writing these things is one of the many ways I remember His glorious works in my life. My prayer is that you would love Him more and more as you see a glimpse of what He has done in the heart of this sinner, saved by grace.
Jonathan (also known as Jonny) is a Reformed Christian Teenager who enjoys discussing religion and theology with other young people. He's 17 years old, and wants to become a writer and comedian. He likes to write, draw, read, and play airsoft in his spare time.
This blog is dedicated to sharing the truths of Christianity, Calvinism, and Creationism; to convince those who do not hold to these truths as well as to sharpen those who do.
I am a child of God. I experience the same daily problems, doubts, faith, questions and miracles that comes with growing as a Christian. I write my thoughts in a blog as this is the way that I really think about issues that I am confronted with daily - By writing them down, and I believe that many people may also experience these issues as well and may find comfort in reading this. The excitement of being a child of God is beyond imagination!
Symphony of heaven is the result of an encounter with God. His unconditional love for us demands and deserves a response from us. We believe the world around us is transformed by the way we do life and the choices we make based on heavenly standards irrespective of what the culture demands. . Each of us have something to offer to our society that shapes culture. We are destined to release the sound of heaven on earth. The vision of Symphony of Heaven is to 'raise leaders' with a 'renewed mind', who 'dwell in the presence of God' while they 'step into their divine destinies'.
My name is Rachelle, I am 12 years old, and a homeschooler in 7th grade. :) I am so blessed to have the opportunity to own a blog and encourage girls my own age! I write the posts, but my awesome mom takes most of the pictures, proofreads my posts, and lends me her fantastic ideas. :) I love music (I play guitar, piano, and ukulele), writing, drawing, and many other things. I have a brother in highschool and another brother in first grade and they are the coolest. :) I spend my days writing in my endless supply of notebooks, playing music, occasionally curling up with a good book and my black cat, Blackberry, hanging out with my friends and family, and aside from many other things, I most of all strive to grow closer to God and achieve a healthy father-daughter relationship with Him. I love blog design and taking and editing photos. Although my mom takes most of the pictures on here, I edit them and I designed the whole blog. :)
I am a Christian girl living in a bipolar world. I am on a journey with Christ and a battle with what I call the monster.
In a sense, the title of this blog is pretty accurate. I am going to write one post on one chapter of the Bible everyday. I know that it will take me a long time, but I want to give each chapter the attention it deserves. If I tried to summarize a few chapters in one post, I would definitely miss out on a lot of stuff.
I am not trained as a theologian, but rather I am a Business Administration and Statistics double major. I am not going to pretend I have all of the answers, because I most definitely do not. However, I am going to try to be honest with all of you about what I feel the passage is saying. However, you might wonder why I’m choosing to do this online. You might wonder why I can’t just have a journal like everyone else. The answer to that is really twofold.
On one hand, I want to be accountable to all of you. It is too easy to simply take a day off when nobody will know the difference. I know this is a big task, and it is easier when you have support. Also, I want your guidance as I do this. I want to be challenged by fellow Christians to think deeper and to learn more as I go. That is your job.
My name is Lindsey Elise, and I am an 18 year old, recent home-school graduate. Though I have elected not to go to college, I do believe in continuing my education, and have recently completed the requirements to become certified as a Family Herbalist!!! (So I will be doing some post's on health as well!) I am the oldest of three girls, and belong to the best family in the world! ( But if you feel the same way about your family, I won't argue with you.) I also happen to have two cats, whom we count as our little brothers.
Elise is a twenty-something public health professional in Atlanta, GA. After burning herself out trying to "perform" for God and others, she is now learning that true warriors are covered by grace and empowered by love. This blog reflects the life lessons God is teaching her as he heals her heart and equips her for kingdom living.
I started this blog originally as a healthy living blog but it has morphed into more of an outlet to keep me writing as much as I can. Why Laces and Lattes? Well, I love running to put it lightly. It is my purest form of relaxation, meditation and staying active. And I love coffee. Because Running and Coffee sounds a bit off and (Shoe)Laces and Lattes has some great alliteration, it stuck.
I firmly believe that life is to be lived with integrity, joy and unrelenting intention. This is a chronicle of an accident prone, impulsive and sincere person’s attempt at doing it right the first time.
I am a graphic designer, wife and homemaker. I love cooking, photography and creating things. My goal is to be a servant of Jesus.
I love life, people, and adventure! My passions are many and varied. On the serious side, I am passionate about making a difference in my world for Jesus, living like there's no tomorrow, and loving the people God has placed in my life. And on a lighter side..I am passionate about chocolate, fashion, & matchmaking. =)
We are not biologically related. Nevertheless, we consider each other sisters - sisters in faith. We've been through different struggles in our lives. Yet, we strive to remain faithful to the God we serve. We talk a lot about what we go through. Through those conversations, we were able to encourage one another. Our sisterhood has become a big help for our personal spiritual lives. And so we decided to share our spiritual journeys to the world. Hoping what we write and share will encourage more people, especially the younger ones, to come to Christ and be FAITHFUL to Him.
I am a young adult who is living at home and striving to live a Godly life. I love music, theater and people. I naturally draw towards people and making friends, which can be both a blessing and a curse, but I pray I can use it for God's glory.
I have no idea what my future holds, but I do know that whatever I do I want to glorify God. I have so much growing to do, and I stumble every day, but through God's grace and mercy I am saved.
I pray one day I will be a godly wife and mother, if the Lord wills. I also want to be a missionary to another country, but no matter where I am I pray I will be a missionary to the people around me.
So this is my journey full of stories, thoughts, adventures and struggles as I strive to be an follower of Christ and an unashamed witness of the gospel of God's grace.
Through this blog I am striving to influence Godly young men and women who are willing to praise God in all of their thoughts and glorify him in all of their actions.
No matter how much I ignore or forget about Jesus, He does not forget about me; He loves me too much to do that. That is how I am able to love and serve Him, despite my present sufferings, despite my seeming inadequacy. Shalom!
My name is Asher, and I’ve found that there aren’t many nineteen year old guys that have blogs, are there? Well, writing has become a fairly close friend of mine. Next to sitting in silent awe on a mountain peak overlooking the earth below or a room with the lights, out playing guitar, I’ve found that writing is the best way to express the inexpressible.
Jesus said, "you shall know (experience) the truth (Jesus) and the truth (Jesus) shall set you free." I have experienced Jesus, and I now know what He means by this verse, hallelujah! :) I firmly believe that He gives us this freedom to live an honest, all-out life for Christ. He did not make me or you for a mediocre life. Nope. He created us to be sold-out praisers.
Cupcakes Corinthians & Crafts was born out of a journey God was sending me on. It was a journey of; being able to open up to people more. If I could do it online and put it out there for all to see then surely I could do it to someone face-to-face - that's the theory.
I am Melanie. I am a twenty-something married girl. I am learning - everyday. I believe that God sent His only Son to come to earth to die for my sins so that I would have life in abundance. My blog is unapologetically Christian.
I enjoy doing anything creative! Writing, drawing, painting, baking, poetry, crafting, singing and now and again I even have a little dance.
I blog about lessons I have learnt, the beauty of God working in my life and even some things that are bothering me along with the odd craft and baking blog too! I don't always get it right. I'm not perfect and I am not afraid to say that.
I'm a writer, a graphic designer, a SAHM, a compulsive worrier, and certifiably a bit bit crazy. I'm an Info Person, and spend most of my free time trying to decipher scholarly research papers on one subject or another. I love all animals (especially horses and dolphins) and am happiest when outside either riding, swimming, tree-climbing, or another delightful outdoors activity.
My son is a cherubic (haha) bundle of energy and joy who happened to have been born with Down syndrome. He isn't letting it bother him and neither are we. His favorite activities include eating, wiggling, cuddling, and smiling.
I am a 27 year old young woman, passionate about God and pursuing him fearlessly. Walking in faith demands fearless abandonment, and by his grace alone, I am blessed to be learning how to do that every day. A firm believer in the power of encouragement, this blog is dedicated to just that purpose. Here you will find daily encouragement and messages of hope, endurance and love. There are also pages for Hospitality tips and Advocacy for animals.

Hi, I am a 13 year old girl who loves God and wants to honor Him in everything! I have eight other siblings and loving christian parents! ~I love music very much and I play the guitar and clarinet. ~I also love art. But above all I love to talk to my heavenly father and tell him every thing. I am ready to be poured out for God,wherever God may put me I will serve to the glory of God. I stand fast on Jesus my rock and I shall never fall away.
I'm a girl with a passion for sharing the beauty found in a life covered by God's magnificent grace. I'm a student at heart and am constantly trying to figure out how things work, how to live, and how God moves. I've been married to a wonderful man of God since June 2, 2012. His name is Jordan, and he is wonderful. We love sharing life and growing together in the Lord.
Also, I love science and I love the people who do science. (For now) I'm a Ph.D student (read more here) in Molecular, Cellular, & Developmental Biology at Indiana University. It's a 5-year program and I started in August of 2012. I'm excited to see God's leading for me in the near (and far future.)
This blog is place where I can Reflect. Reflect on all those wonderful questions that fill my mind. Reflect on the beauty of a life in Christ. And Reflect on the wonderful work of my creator through science and nature. But furthermore, I hope that through this blog you will see a reflection of Christ -- I admit that it will often be a broken reflection; but my prayer is that you would see Him, seek Him, begin to know Him who can take a life and transform it into His own image.
Hi! My name is Amy. I am a daughter of the King of Kings, forgetting what lies behind and reaching onward to what lies ahead, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4:13b-14) Ever since I was about 13 my heart has rested in the hands of Jesus and my life ever waiting for His beckoned call. I am 18 years old, a homeschool graduate, and have 8 younger brothers and sisters, and pray that by being a good big sister to them I can prepare to be a good mother to my own children some day. I love music. I love to read. I love photography and editing. I love chocolate.
I'm officially 18 years old and lovin' the life God has given me. I am a Christian girl, believer and lover of God, Christ, and the Holy Spirit. Worshiping the Lord through music, with all I am, and through all I do is my calling in life. Right now, I'm attending College, Psalmist School, and I am also in the process of starting a Christian band. Apparently I'm a good juggler. I find myself swept off my feet each time I encounter the Lord's sweet and joyous presence...just can't seem to get enough...It's sealed into my heart and soul.
Welcome to my blog! The purpose of this blog is to share with you a small fraction of my daily blessings, numerous interests, and wonderful life, while bringing glory and honor to my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, who died on the cross to save me from my sins in his abounding grace and mercy.
My wonderful family and I live on an organic farm in the foothills of the Cascade mountains.
I am a semi-professional photographer. At the age of seven, I receieved my first camera, a 35mm Vivitar point-and-shoot, but began photographing seriously when I purchased my first SLR in the Fall of 2007. Since then, I have been working on improving my compositional skills and learning the technical aspects of photography. My work has been published in multiple publications, and I have also won first place in the Youth Color Division of the Oregon State Fair.
I am an unworthy servant of Jesus Christ and a daughter of the King of Kings! The Lord Jesus Christ is my Beloved and I am thrilled to be able to live for Him and bring Him glory and honor in every way that I can. I desire above all else to follow His will and love Him with all my heart, soul, mind, and strength. I seek to accomplish the Lord’s purpose for my life and desire to remain joyful and content in it! I am 28 years old, a pastor’s daughter, and sister to three younger brothers. My dear family resides in Northeastern Pennsylvania.
For the past 1 1/2 years, I lived in a suburb of Chicago working for the Institute in Basic Life Principles, a Christian organization. During this time, the Lord blessed me with various opportunities to serve Him across the US and the world, including Romania and Mexico. While in Chicago, the Lord granted me a “dream come true” by giving me the opportunity to live in Beijing China for three months and teach character qualities at a foreign language school. It was an experience of a lifetime and I came to know the goodness of God like never before! God has blessed my life is so many amazing ways and it often leaves me stunned!
Since returning home, I am currently keeping busy helping nanny five children for two families in our area who are dealing with major health issues. This is a growing and stretching time for me but I am delighted to be doing what God wants me to do and I love the children dearly!
My interests include music (piano, harp, and violin), singing, children, spending time with friends, candles and potpourri, traveling, photography, walking and jogging, singing, baking, taking in the beauty of the sky, laughing, shopping, and just enjoying every moment while it lasts! I love living life to its fullest!
This blog is a peek into the lives of two reformed Christian stay-at-home daughters living a lifestyle that can be spelled out in three words... "Ah, the life"
We are two sisters with a passion for femininity, old fashioned living and all things vintage, the arts, fashion, homemaking, music and books. Besides that, we love spending time with our family, doing everything we love, sharing our lives and our passion. Emma is a writer, and a creative artist. Johanna is a photographer, and a talented communicator. Underneath all these things lies the strength that carries us through our lives, the strength given by the knowledge of our Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ.
This blog is dedicated to helping our sisters in Christ open up, ask questions, discuss and form friendships with other believers, deal with peer pressure, test, prevent vulnerable girls from making the wrong decisions, and encourage young girls to follow the path that God wants them to.
